Paul is a Registered Psychologist based in Adelaide who offers warm, practical, and evidence-based therapy for adults, young people (16+), and couples.
Originally trained in South Africa, Paul holds a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and brings more than 22 years of experience working across mental health, private hospital, tertiary, training, and community settings.
Paul is known for his approachable, down-to-earth style and his ability to quickly build strong therapeutic relationships with people from all cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life. Clients often describe him as easy to talk to, relatable, practical, and focused on helping them make meaningful progress rather than simply “talking about problems.”
Paul has extensive experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and panic disorders, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and bereavement, BPD, stress and burnout, adjustment difficulties, alcohol and substance use challenges, health-related concerns and other mental health concerns. His therapeutic approach is collaborative, transparent, and goal-oriented, helping clients understand not only why they may be struggling, but what they can realistically do about it.
In addition to individual therapy, Paul provides couples counselling using an integrative approach that combines the Gottman Method with Emotionally Focused Therapy. He supports couples in understanding the patterns underlying conflict and disconnection, while helping them develop healthier communication, emotional understanding, and more secure, resilient relationships.
He offers face-to-face and telehealth sessions for accessibility.
Whether someone is navigating a specific mental health challenge or simply feeling stuck and uncertain about the next step, Paul provides a respectful, structured, and supportive space focused on clarity, growth, and meaningful change.
